Abstract

The article offers brief profile of canonist and lawyer Adam Usk with his writing on history of the law of the English Church. It mentions that he described the archbishop as the light and delight of church and clergy and the unshakeable pillar of the Christian faith, and the conclusion on the decree of Pope Innocent IV issued at the Council of Lyons that had declared the deposition of Emperor Frederick II.
